Flag of theRNAngel species. Nucleotide as central shield, 3 swallowtails (6 total). Each of the tails represents an extinction event.
Hydrogen Wing Extends from the 2' carbon vertebrae of his spine. Not functional for flying but can create powerful storms with just a few flaps.
Hydroxide wing Extends from the 2' carbon vertebrae of his spine. The weaker of the two wings.
Horns Deliberately designed by Aleph to appear like the teeth of ancient apex predators (such as short-faced bears and giant dire wolves) to evoke primal fear in humans. Teeth contract on skull if stressed.
Hydrogen tail Extends out from oxygen pelvis. On it lies a phosphate group, which is the achilles heel of the RNAngel. If phosphate groups are removed, the RNAngel will self destruct.
Barium belt Fashionable belt made of pure barium. Modeled after barium's valence shell (which contains two electrons).

Like a robot, the tsRNAngel needs to be repaired due to cellular stress or viral infection, much like how RNA can be repaired by mechanisms within the cell.
Click the door to his chambers twice to see the process of being repaired.
Sensitive imagery warning.

The Original RNAngel, Aleph, was born 4 billon years ago from a warm little pond after the universe inseminated the Earth with meteorites. Once RNA could replicate and mutate, Darwinian evolution took over, and Aleph began creating all sorts of life to keep her company.
From these lifeforms, more lifeforms emerged, and so on,
and so on
and so on...
