Hemsjuk is a eschatological digital novel set in 1960's Nyänget, Sweden about the necromantic taxon of grim called the Kyrkogrim. In Hemsjuk, Den Sista Kyrkogrim, or, "The Last Kyrkogrim" in english, is a Swedish urban legend that is very popular in the city of Nyänget, particularly in the dorp of Sinbad, which has grown barren over the years due to the fear of this "legend". A large, wooden house near the beach in Sinbad caters to the warmth of a party of three individuals, Tora, Chernobog, and Ximena. Ximena, having just moved to Sweden from Montreal due to both of her parents coming down with scarlet fever at the same time, is very curious about Sinbad and the urban legend of Den Sista Kyrkogrim. In fact, it is this very curiousity that causes Ximena to take home an injured nötskrika, oblivious to the curse she will undoubtedly unleash.
